We studied sheeted dykes of the Troodos Ophiolite, Cyprus, in order to detect geochemical along-axis segmentation. Samples were taken from an along-strike N-S transection of the sheeted dykes from Kampos to Milikouri within a single structural domain (Solea graben). On an MgO vs. FeO*/MgO variation diagram, dykes can be divided into high- and low-Mg groups. The former has more Y and less Nb than the latter at a given Zr and consists of samples from the southern part of the transection. On the contrary, the latter consists of all other samples from the northern part of the transection. The mid-point of the transection at Kykko includes both high- and low-Mg groups. We suggest that the sheeted dykes from the Solea graben can be divided into northern and southern segments with a minimum length of 10 km, comparable to third- to fourth-order segments at slow-spreading ridges.
